Ryan Franks is a composer, orchestrator, producer and sound designer working in LA and NYC. He has worked extensively in animated movies and series for adults and kids with clients like Netflix, Max, Comedy Central, Mattel, Lionsgate and Cartoon Network. Collaborating often with Scott Nickoley (Southpark) both in film/TV as well as in advertising with national campaigns for companies like Honda, Acura, Subaru, Oreos, Playstation and Mac.
Ryan has also begun working in New York as an orchestrator and electronic music designer for musical theater, making use all aspects of his background as a classically trained composer, multi-instrumentalist, orchestrator and sound designer.
Growing up as a woodwind, guitar and piano player he has continued to broaden his scope with an insatiable curiosity for sound and music, including synthesis, mixing, and a unique production style blending organic and electronic elements.
He has also worked as the supervising sound editor for successful shows on Max, Netflix and Cartoon Network such as Tuca & Bertie, Ten Year Old Tom, and Long Story Short.
In the future he hopes to continue integrating the many facets of his experience to be a one-stop shop for new projects, providing creativity, clarity, versatility and accountability for clients throughout the music and post process. Additionally, he aspires to bring his passion for music creation and sound design to new theatrical productions to feed his obsession with live performance.
